Atlanta Midwives To Empower Your Birth Experience

Considering having a midwife on your birthing team? Midwives treat women who are experiencing a low-risk pregnancy and can assist in non-medicated pain management options. They deliver in hospitals, birth centers, and in home. Here’s a list of midwives in Atlanta to consider!

  • Peachtree Women’s Clinic: has several convenient Atlanta area options. They have 6 Certified Nurse-Midwives on staff who are experts in low-risk pregnancy, vaginal delivery, and postpartum care. They work with a team of OB/GYN’s in case additional care is needed.
  • Birth By Grace Midwifery: is a private-duty, small midwifery practice specializing in home births. This company offers packages that include prenatal visits, nutritional guidance, a home birth class, home birth pool rental, and postpartum care visits.
  • Moonlight Midwifery: is a solo practice run by Crystal Bailey, CNM, APRN, ND. She has been a midwife for over 15 years. Additionally, she provides a 20-minute consultation prior to establishing care with her. Once you have selected her, she provides prenatal visits, labor support, and a 6-week postpartum visit.
  • Dawning Life Midwifery: is led by senior midwife Debbie Schneider. The birth culture here is described as woman-centered and focused on meeting each woman where they are. In addition to labor and birth support, they also offer the following services: pre-conception counseling, well-woman care, lactation support, Maya abdominal therapy, and placental preservation.
  • Gifted Hands Midwifery: recently recognized by Atlanta Parent Magazine for outstanding midwifery service, this is a holistic, private duty and well-woman care service. They offer comprehensive home birth services as well as well-woman care.
